Cosplay X Crossplay X Cocktails (CxCxC) is a one day, family friendly event designed to build up our Queer Geek Community. We want the event to be about self expression and making new friends with fellow geeks.

Events

Cosplay Competition

We love to cosplay, and we need more opportunities to do so. We want this event to be focused on creativity and identity, so we are changing up the cosplay competition formula a little.

Instead of having 1st, 2nd, etc winners in different skill categories, we are establishing five areas of judging:

  • Master of Reconstruction - If you up-cycled your cosplay, this is for you. If you have amazing hot glue skills, we are cheering you on! You made something new and amazing! Show it off.

  • Master of Art - If you crafted your cosplay from scratch, we want to see it. Show off those sewing and sculpting skills, tell us about your process. We love the details and we want to see it!

  • Master of Expression - If you are more into your makeup and how you bring out the attitude and personality of your cosplay, we want to see you SLAY!

  • Master of Innovation - Did you flip the script? Tear out the pages? Make a mash up that’s turning heads? Or otherwise defy our conventional geek standards? Then you belong here.

  • Fan Favorite - After all contestants have shown off their work, there will be a popular vote. Fans will choose one special person to take a people’s choice award.

By having these 5 different categories, we hope to encourage all levels to make something and wear it proudly. All ages are encouraged to compete. If you like to be technical, go ham! If you like every color of the rainbow, go wild! We want to see all that you can do.

Cosplay Karaoke

Cosplay events have to have karaoke. We think it's a law somewhere. Stop by and sing your heart out! The fans are waiting.

Local Artists and Vendors

Come support local artists and small businesses. As artists ourselves, we always want to help spread the love and recognition of local talent and dedicated individuals.

Participation Prizes

We keep saying, this event is about making connections in the community. We will have activities that encourage you to make a friend, learn a new technique, sing a song you don't know the word of, etc. What we love most about geek culture is that sense of belonging when you find someone who loves your favorite character/game/[insert third thing here] more than you do. Let's make it happen! We hope you come ready to make new connections.

KPop Demon Hunters Sing-a-Long

HAVE YOU SEEN IT. How many songs do you know? How many songs do you think everyone else knows? If we all sing together will we be in tune? Does it matter?

We don't know. But we will know, and so will you when you join us at 4 pm.
